Bon appétit!


Welcome to my food blog, No Lait, S’il Vous Plaît!, which literally means No Milk, Please! I choose to live a dairy-free lifestyle, which means no milk, no cheese, no ice cream, no yogurt, and no butter. That’s right, no butter. Sorry, Julia Child! I cook with olive oil, not butter.

The reason I choose to cook without these delicious animal products is because I’m allergic to them. A few years ago, I discovered that I was having worse and worse reactions to dairy products, so I chose to eliminate them from my life. That sounds like something I should do to other parts of my life, but you’re not here to hear about that. Just know that I will give you recipes and experiences that will tickle your taste buds, curl your sweet tooth, and possibly cause some hair to grow on your chest, but mostly the first two. 🙂

Oh! I’m also learning French. Now and then, I’ll put some French phrases in here to show that I really am progressing. It’s the language of love… and I love food. Om nom nom.
